Build your calendar
Who does this: an Owner, Admin or Manager in the admin portal. Coaches can also create and edit their own team’s events from the app; see the coaches’ guides.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- Select the season and have your teams created; every event is for one or more groups.
- Check Settings → Organisation → Event Types. The types (training, match, and any you add) colour the calendar and can carry their own rules.
- Go to Events. The calendar opens on the month view; switch to week or day, or jump back with Today.
- Click New event.
- Enter the Event Name and choose the Type.
- Enter the Location Name and the address. Members get a map link in the app.
- Set the Start Date and time and the End Date and time.
- Under Groups / Audience, pick the team or teams the event is for. Members of those teams see it and are asked to RSVP.
- Optionally set Max Attendees and add a Description.
- For a weekly training session, turn on Recurring Event, choose Repeat (Daily, Weekly, Every 2 Weeks or Monthly) and end it By end date or By count. Recurrence can only be set when the event is created, not added later.
- Click Create Event.
What happens next
Section titled “What happens next”The event appears in the app for its audience, with Yes / No / Maybe replies. Reminders go out by push and email before it starts. Events you archive disappear from members’ views but keep their attendance history.
If something goes wrong
Section titled “If something goes wrong”- You need a whole block of matches or sessions at once. Use Bulk-create events from a spreadsheet, or Import federation fixtures for competition matches.
- New event is missing. Creating events needs the Manager role.
- You created a session and forgot to make it recurring. Create it again with Recurring Event on and delete the single one.
