Your team in the app
Who this is for: coaches, assistant coaches and team managers who run a team from the ClubEzy app. Club administrators: read the first section, it explains how to set a coach up so the tools appear.
Two roles, and both matter
Section titled “Two roles, and both matter”A coach has two separate roles in ClubEzy:
- A season role (Coach, Assistant Coach, Manager, Admin, Support), given by the club when they invite you or from your member page in the admin portal. This is what unlocks staff tools in the app.
- A team role (Coach, Manager, Admin, Support, Member), set on the team’s roster. This is what ties you to a particular team: its chat, its events, its trial window.
You need both. A person who is Coach on a roster but only a Player in the season sees no staff tools at all. Club admins: invite coaches with the Coach season role, then set them as Coach on their team’s roster.
Assistant coaches are the exception: the Assistant Coach season role does not switch on Staff mode. If an assistant needs the staff tools, give them the Coach season role.
Switch to Staff mode
Section titled “Switch to Staff mode”Open the menu (top left). If you hold a staff season role, the top of the menu has a switch: For Me and Staff. Tap Staff. The app remembers your choice.
In Staff mode the menu gains a Manage · staff section, and Home shows Staff shortcuts and a members and upcoming-events summary. The entries:

The rest of the menu (Announcements, My groups, Events & schedule, Documents, Profile) is the same as every member sees.
What a coach can and cannot do in the app

Team Managers and club Admins can do the right-hand column too. If you need one of those, ask your club to give you the Manager season role.
Your team
Section titled “Your team”My groups lists your teams. Open one to see the roster, with each person’s team role under their name, the Files & documents card, and the Trial period card. From a roster row, View parent / guardian shows a player’s linked parents.
