Events and match reports from the app

Who this is for: coaches and team managers with the Coach or Manager season role.

  1. From Schedule, tap the + (or Create Event).
  2. Choose the Event type and give it an Event name.
  3. Set Start date & time and, if you want, End date & time. Events cannot be created in the past.
  4. Enter the Location; start typing and pick from the suggestions.
  5. For a match, choose Match as the type and fill in Opponent.
  6. Under the audience card, tick your team. Choosing All season members invites the whole season, which is usually an admin’s call.
  7. Leave Attendance required on if you will take a register. Switch on Public (club-wide) only if every member of the season should see it on their schedule; off means only invitees, their parents and staff.
  8. For weekly training, set Repeat with Repeat until or Number of events.
  9. Tap create.

Open the event and use the ⋮ menu: Edit event, View members, Manage attendance, Assess players (when the event is set up for assessments), Lock event, Cancel event (with an optional reason; members are told), Delete event. For a repeating event you are asked whether the change applies to This event or the Entire series.

Teams cannot be changed after an event is created. To add or remove individuals, use View members.

You can edit events for your own team and any event you created. Locked events, and finished events, cannot be edited until unlocked.

Every member can contribute to a match’s story. Once a match event has finished, its page shows Were you at this game? with Submit a match report - open to everyone.

Tap it for Match Observations: Final Score, an optional half-time score, Goals (scorer, type, minute), Cards, Key Moments, Notable Players, Photos and Any other observations?. Tap Submit Observations. You can update your submission until the club finalises the report, and you can see how many other people have submitted.

The club’s official report is collated and published in the admin portal. On the app, Staff mode’s Match Reports lists each team’s reports for reading; Managers and Admins can also create one there. The event page links to the published report under Official match report.

Coaches cannot create or approve match reports in the app. Submit your observations instead; the club builds the official report from them.
